For us, it’s about creating something that lasts, something that’s timeless. Something that feels thought through the moment you walk in and continues to support your life for years to come.
This work is personal to us because we know what it’s like to be on the other side of it. We’ve built, lived in, and learned from multiple homes of our own, and that perspective shapes every decision we make. Our goal is simple: to build homes with the same level of care, responsibility, and pride as if we were the ones moving in.
Construction has always been part of Jake's life, working for his dads construction company at the age of 15. Jake started Kodiak at 24, and built with the same precision and pride he learned early on.
Jessika, a registered nurse with a growing love for design, started seeing homes differently. Not just how they were built, but how they were experienced. The flow of a layout, the way light moves through a space, how a small detail can change how a room feels.
The turning point came when Jessika joined Jake full time. Not just as a builder and a designer working side by side, but as partners with a shared vision.
Since 2014 Kodiak has been providing a fully integrated design and build experience, guided by clarity, honesty, and a genuine respect for what you're investing in. Not just financially, but emotionally. We've been there ourselves, more than once.
